Nothing fancy, just a good selection of beer on tap and decent mixed drinks with a view of the water.

I second The Blind Tiger and will add Bacchus on the Beach in the Pass. If you're coming tomorrow be aware there is a parade in the Pass.

Oh and there is nothing fancy on the beach here!

Shaggy's at Pass Harbor (Pass Christian) has a great view and good beer selection plus the burger was pretty good too.

This one is definitely better than the other Shaggy's locations.

None of the beach side joints in BSL even have windows, so that’s an understatement.

Not one place on the coast has “good” taps and it blows my mind. If you want beer then head to chandeleur brewery in downtown Gulfport. If you want good vibes and cold beer TBT in The Bay, Outside bar at Bacchus in The Pass, TBT in Biloxi....

This is true. I don't understand why, because you could fill a tap selection with Southern Prohibition, Chandeleur, Lazy Mag, and N.O. Beers.

Found this to be the case too when I was down there a few months ago. BSL has the best strip of beach/bayside bars with a view and good outdoor areas. Also Trappani's and a few other small restaurants around there have decent food. Im partial to BSL because I have been there many more times than gulfport, pass, biloxi, etc. but I like spending a weekend in BSL when I visit friends

Like in most cases I’m assuming it has something to do with the POS distributor... but I guess we have to remember MS is still relatively new to the local craft beer scene. Lazy Mag has been around for years, but.... god forbid we take blue moon off tap.

The alcohol content law just changed a few years ago, it was fought tooth and nail by the liquor/wine folks. Can’t have youngins buying $13 4pks of 8% beer instead of our Bacardi 151. They will get drunk off that beer and it ain’t safe!

They always have 1 chandeleur, 1 Abita and 1 lazy mag, then the rest of it is typical taps. also, these places all have less than 10 taps... sometimes only 5.
I just assume go visit Mr Keith at the Ugly Pirate and dominate the juke box.

Need to ask Nicaud what the hell is going on with all that shite, he prolly has a little pull since he owns damn near every restaurant out there.

I think you're correct. I did some work with one of those distributors soon after the new law passed, and the manager was pissed about it. He was actually having to attempt to manage his inventory instead of stocking pallets of a few beers, a couple of malt liqours and one energy drink.
