Dude, STFU. Louie's is one of Baton Rouge's oldest restaurants and is the only diner in BR other that Waffle House (which is also great). They were 24 hours forever. You never left The Varsity drunk at 1:30 am and waited an hour to get some grub at Louie's?
I feel sorry for you. They reduced their hours after closing completely due to Covid.
Maybe the original location on Airline was a café. Who cares?

I believe the original location, without double checking, was located on Chimes Street.

I think you are right. I am thinking of something else. I downvoted myself.

asking a related NOLA question- is there any difference between the Frostop on clearview and the one by tulane?
This comment jogged a long lost memory in my brain. At my first job I had a coworker who did a presentation on the differences between Frostops. And why the one in LaPlace was the best.

I know that's where it was in the early 80's. 6 or 8 chairs at the tiny counter to eat. Then they moved onto State Street. Finally into the current location (which used to be a Wendy's with Mr Gattis right next to it).
