I think I remember a restaurant that had a beer float on its menu. I decided to try it tonight. I dropped some delicious Schwan's ice cream into a few ounces of Summit Winter Ale. It wasn't bad, but there was a huge contrast between the sweetness of the ice cream and the bitterness of the beer. Anyone else try this? I believe the restaurant used a stout for its beer float.

The cove does this. No I've never had one. If I did I'd probably go with Youngs double chocolate stout or southern tier creme brûlée.

I was thinking the same thing that a chocolate stout may be the way to go. I love Creme brûlée. That would also be a good choice.

I've had it with both the Southern Tier Creme Brûlée, and with Abita Turbo dog. Both were good

Is the Southern Tier Creme Brulee available anywhere in BR? I'm dying to try it.

I did this at home one one night with a Breckenridge Brewery Vanilla Porter and Edy's coffee ice cream. They jived pretty well, but it wasn't something that left me craving more. I may not have had the best mash up.

I was in Cottage Hill Package in Mobile yesterday. Alabama just got Southern Tier. Didn't have the creme brulee, and I didn't ask if they were expecting any.

Flying Saucer in Memphis has a float made w/ Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Possibly the most awful thing I've ever tasted.
