Let's see...Stella Artois or Bell's. Hmmm...

How long do I have to get back to you? That's a tough call.

I done told y'all. Georgia Satellites. Look up the song. Too bad for me.

My thought is that women like decisive men. I am quite decisive except when it comes to food and drink. I get a bit flustered about what to order because it all sounds so good.

So I look up the menu so I know what I'm going to order and not look like a wanker.

thanks for all the input.

I don't think a single scotch has gotten more than one vote.

I'd go Breckenridge Vanilla Porter because it's a damn good beer.

Can't help on the Scotch selection.

Update:

I went with the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and the Laphroaig 10 yr.

I loved the Porter half way through it, but then the heaviness, sweetness, maltiness got to be too much.

The Laphroaig was....well, interesting. It has a very strong medicinal tasted to it. I don't think I'd ever have it again, unless it was free or there was someone there to explain what the taste is. Just a bit weird, but very glad I tried it.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Are you not a Scotch drinker?

If not jumping into the deep end may have not been the best move.

No. I forgot.

Trey. Not a scotch drinker. Just learning. I had the Macallen 12 recently at Chimes. It was almost like a bourbon.

I'm shocked how different scotch can be. I guess that is why people like it.

Afro, I will listen next time.

I can't figure out the flavor that I tasted, but it was something really strong.

What do you think other than "umm..what?"

I mean how do you mean it "tasted medicinal?"

Laphroaig has a lot of peat and a more tarry flavor, but that's just Islay single malt style. I've heard it compared to motor oil before by people who didn't like it but never as "medicinal."

Gotcha.

It had a flavor that I can't put my finger on. My GF said Nyquil and the waitress agreed. But I've never had Nyquil but perhaps it was a cold medicine of some sort.

I'm assuming the really distinctive flavor and nose (proper use of the term?) was the peat.

I can't say I enjoyed it, but I am really glad I tried it.
