Also had a pint of Sweetwater 420, but that's tradition...

Ive heard a lot of good things about Sweetwater and also Terrapin. I just think its a freakin shame that we dont have many good beers sold here in Mississippi.

would highly recommend this stuff if youve never tried it, definitely one of my favorites - theres a reason they only sell it in a 4 pack

I've recently been enjoying a lot of the beers by Victory Brewing. Victory Golden Monkey is very good.

Good one.
If he's in BR he's not likely to find this one.

Matter of taste.

And I thought he may be in BR and had to go to something more accessible.
You might be able to help me. I bought a Saison up in Boston years ago that had a yellow label and I cannot remember the name - The writing on the label was small and artsy - any ideas? TIA.

im a big fan of the northern cali beers having lived there. Mendocino brewery makes good beer, i really like the red tail ale. eel river is another one you can get in LA, they have a line of organic beers that are good. im a huge fan of the sierra nevada anniversary ale that just came out. their wet hops reserve harvest beer is good as well. i miss some beers from the pacific northwest like black butte porter by deschutes brewery. also i miss the east coast breweries i used to get beers from like magic hat and long trail out of vermont. i was really happy when brooklyn lager made its way down here.

Their Milk Stout is really good. Nice winter beer now that I actually live in a cold weather area

Hopefully their Oatmeal Stout will return. Best Abita offering.
God I hope so. That was by far my favorite beer of all time.

What season of the year does Abita offer Oatmeal Stout?

It was in late winter, if I remember correctly, last time. But there is no calendar for their select brews, just a list of their past options.

Full Sail Amber and IPA (there pale ale is not that great)
Lagunitas IPA and Censored
Left Hand Sawtooth Ale (very balanced between hops n malts)
Unibroue Maudite and La Fin du Monde
Stone Pale Ale (best pale ale IMO) their IPA is ok
Westmalle Dubbel
Ommengang Abbey Ale
Brooklyn Brown ale and Local no. 1
solid list. I would add any stone beer to that list. Never had a bad one. Vertical epic was just ok.
