Just make sure it says trimmed on the package. If not, trim it yourself. Lots of good video tutorials online. An untrimmed tenderloin is Busch league.

Also, one end will be skinnier than the other. Fold that end over itself and tie with baker's twine so it cooks evenly.

Since most folks opt for a rib roast on Christmas day. I'd personally go with a beef tenderloin.
