Thinking about putting some on the smoker this weekend. Where would be the best place to get them in baton Rouge?

Costco usually has beef ribs.

I have also seen them at Rouses, but I avoid Rouses meat like the plague.

Costco or Iverstines

They were not on display when I bought them from Costco. I had to ask for them

What do you call the ones with the big piece of beef on the rib?

If the above picture is what you are asking for, they are either chuck short ribs or plate short ribs. Both have a lot of meat, but the plate ribs are larger.

Costco had chuck short ribs when I bought them. Iverstines had both chuck and plate and you could get them cut to desired size.

Costco is a good source for beef ribs. Some I cooked awhile back:

Never knew this. Beef Ribs are one of my favorite meals, but much like Brisket, the price of them has become ridiculous. We used to buy good Beef Ribs from Ready Portion Meat. Believe it or not, TJ Ribs actually does a good job on what they serve. Not sure of any other local place that dishes em up.

I’d go Sams.
Rouse probably still frozen or previously frozen and way overpriced.
Sell by date likely one day from whenever you’ll be buying them.

Went by costco and they didn't have the plate ribs only the long ones with not a lot of meat. They only had prime. I didn't ask anyone if they had any in the back.
