NOLA = 11
Houston = 2
Houston is a great place to get some good food, but can we please stop this foolishness where some people think Houston is a better foodie city than New Orleans?

Houston is a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there

NOLA needs it's own category.

I guess that goes back to that thread and what are the top 5 culinary cities. Think I was close.

NOLA is good for its indigenous cuisine, but as far as being a foodie city, Houston is better because of its variety, vast ethnic enclaves and dynamic food scene.

What does 'dynamic food scene' mean? Other than ethnically diverse, which you already covered.

I was watching a food show about Houston last night and half of the show was talking about Katrina transplants who opened restaurants there and serve NOLA food.

Yeah, the judges disagree with you.
Perhaps you mean Houston has a bunch of run down ethnic places serving ethnic food. Nothing wrong with that, but that does not make for a foodie city.
