I favor the Mr. B's version

I've never come across anything that surpasses it.

Some restaurants peel the shrimp so it wont be so messy to eat.

Can't suck the heads or shells that way. Eating bbq shrimp is an event for me, similar to eating boiled crawfish. It's supposed to be messy.

I essentially use the Mr. B's recipe, but I add sliced lemon and finish with fresh parsley. I can feel my arteries clogging just thinking of the 2 sticks of butter per pound of shrimp.

Wearing a bib and licking shrimp heads and fingers. French bread sopping up the sauce. So awesome. Yummy!!

Head on is the only way to go, although my recipe does add a little bit of cream

Absolutely. The bibs are a must. It's too easy to wear the sauce.

Kajun, you're bbq shrimp recipe is not in the recipe book, either. I think you should add it.

I'll post if from home...

very easy recipe..

Mr B's sauce is hard to beat too.

But last time I had it there, the shrimp were over cooked and hard to peel

:buzzkill:

but I still licked the sauce off the plate

I had the same experience the last time I ordered them and they were also just barely warm. I was disappointed. I ate a lot of French bread and the sauce.

I like to vary bbq shrimp seasonings. Sometimes, I like Mr. B's version. Sometimes, I want more of a rosemary and garlic flavor and I use champagne, with the other ingredients. There aren't a lot of versions that I don't like.

I don't peel the shrimp ahead of time. They tend to dry out if you do. I peel them after they cook.

Why not use Pasqual Manale's recipe?

If you want more rosemary the Drago's recipe seems to have that and more.
