Beausoleil is hit-and-miss. I've been there on multiple occasions where it was great, but the one time I took my parents and relatives from out of town, it was subpar and I looked like a fool for suggesting it.

Three that I've written off, that most people like, are Fleming's, Juban's, and Sammy's. I would've added Table Kitchen and Bar to the list, but they already put themselves out of business.

There's a significant amount of schadenfreude to sitting out there enjoying a tasty beverage while laughing at all the poor schmucks stuck in traffic on the bridge.

Ruffino's

Interesting.

I'll admit that my last visit experienced very subpar service (at least for Ruffino's) but the food was excellent. Every other time I've been both service and food have been outstanding.

And I never said it was a bad restaurant, just overrated in comparison to alternatives.

So the boards contention is that it is meh sushi with a good view.

And that is overrated because the view isn't of Mt Rainer.

It, in my humble opinion, has declined through the years. A little too big for their britches now. Service has been meh the last two times I've been. Food still good enough but they've gradually cut portion sizes. Guess I miss how it used to be. Used to be my go to place for my birthday. No longer. If I'm going to spend that kind of $$$ I'll go to Mansur's. Just sayin'. :)

City Cafe, except for their oysters & boiled crawfish. City Cafe must go out of their way to prepare crappy food.

Nando's...Food was very disappointing.

King Buffet - smells like fish and the food is crap

Breck's - ok, it's sort of a sports bar near LSU. Last time I went the TV's were broken and they were out of draft beer.

Anyone who has worked in the restaurant industry will back me up on this:

you encourage servers with good tips more than poor tips.

and like i said: who knows what led to her messing up my order like poor training or poor management that didn't outline unlisted specials or how to answer questions that you didn't know the answer to. I judge the restaurant on the mistakes but not one individual.

Sammy's. Not only is the food terrible, but I like The Judge.
