Argentine Shrimp

Doing surf and turf for NYE. Friend taking care of tbones. While shopping for lobsters (will steam 3 or 4), I stumbled across some Argentine shrimp.
The place I was shopping at is the kind of place you want to make sure they aren’t from Indonesia or China or whatever. Large, good color, still in shell. I’m assuming wild caught? Anyone have experience with these? May be fairly common but first time I had noticed them. Planning to fry a couple of pounds because I want to.

No experience with them but probably farm raised. If you have them cook them. Not ideal for me since I can always get gulf shrimp but you won’t radiate if you cook them.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

I’m a few hours north of the coast. Definitely always buy US (but legit have to check to confirm) that’s why I was asking about Argentine.

Similar to royal reds but NOT the same thing. My Albertsons has some lately but I stay stocked on royal reds from Joe Patti. Very delicate and super easy to overcook. Gulf Shrimp are easy to get here but we like royal reds steamed very briefly and dipped in brown butter. Tried frying some one time in the shell like Chinese Black Pepper shrimp and they did not fry well, texture changed completely. Hope this helps.
