whether it was worth it is up for debate but I don’t think anyone could complain that it’s not “Indian hot”

We have excellent Indian here, but on nights we are at home, the frozen meals from "Deep" with a side of Basmati frozen or cooked rice meals are awesome. Go to a local Indian grocery and stock up. Buy various chutneys and sauces for the side. Papad is great, if naan is too heavy (very thin cracker-like chips). We add lots of spice to the rice, as an Indian friend taught us. Coriander, mustard seeds, tamarind, hing (similar to garlic/onion), turmeric, etc.
Best of all, it is a very low calorie meal.
