Are any restaurants in BR serving boiled crawfish yet?

Or is it too early in the yr? I have a friend in town with a craving for some, just wondering if it's possible to find.

Most markets have been selling since the new year, this weekend will be slim pickings with the cold weather

FWIW, the wait was almost an hour last weekend when we went, and the service from the wait staff was crap. Crawfish was good, but snow crab was better.
If you're bringing a guest from out of town, I like the flavor of the crawfish and the atmosphere at Sammy's better.

I like Willie's, but their crawfish is the one thing I DON'T like... well, unless they've changed their purging technique. Went about 5 years ago and their crawfish were full of dirt and grit. Tasted like they went straight from the sack into the boil.
I don't care for Sammy's crawfish, either... always seems like there are a lot of dead crawfish (dead before boiling) in the batch.

Duke's in Denham Springs was serving them last week. Cold weather might change things for a little while.

Not sure who told you that… it’ll be more like the mid to end of February.

Tried Willies yesterday and they were fantastic no grit at all

If that's the case they must've taken my advice and started purging instead of just spraying the sack with a water hose.
I usually go to Montalbanos or Louisiana Cajun Seafood on Coursey for my boiled crawfish

I like them because they are actually spicy. I find most restaurants skimp on the spices a bit when they are cooking for the masses.
