The samosas look ok. Naan looks pretty good. Everything else looks meh, but I guess I can't knock it until I've tried it, which I never will. I'll show myself out now

Thanks for the tip...this is what I appreciate most about this board. People eating all over and posting about the little-advertised or easily overlooked.
As for the denim crack, dude works for a living. Props for wearing a real work shirt and having your own honest-to-God small business.

At Nola Desi right now, it's also very good. I like the palak paneer a little better here. The samosas are excellent and the price is lower.
They seem to have more curries here too. Both places are primarily Pakistani.

Nola Desi Kitchen (same cuisine) in kenner off of williams is my go to....its amazing

I keep driving past and wondering about this place. I will give it a shot now that I know someone who is trusted that likes it.

went back again yesterday. Got the Pakora Curry which is chickpea dumplings.
Again it was excellent. Since starting the thread I have gone back to Shyan's twice and Nola Desi twice, Shyan's has a much stronger vegetarian menu for sure. I may like the Naan better at Desi though. Shyan's seems to be the cheapest option and the owner is very nice and welcoming and will talk you through each dish.
I'm open to try other Indian places, but for a cuisine I "hated" last year, discovering it and enjoying it has been great.
