The WaPo Guaconomics article, which is pretty interesting, ends with "Reuters reported that if Trump ever makes good on his threat to close the border with Mexico, the United States’ avocado supply would run out in three weeks."
The rest of the second linked headline is "US will run out of avocados in three weeks if Trump closes Mexico border"
The second article notes: "Update: President Trump called off his threat to levy tariffs against Mexico on the night of Friday, June 7 ..."
He never made good on his promise to close the border, and he called off the tariffs, so the shortages that the media projected as a result did not happen.
Enjoy your guac!
P.S. Some of the best looking avocados I've seen were in Mexican grocery stores. I guess they make them a priority.

Costco's sacks of them were $4.50 last weekend. That's a first, they always fluctuate between 6-7 dollars.

Tchoupitoulas store.
They did it on purpose to create “the worlds largest avocado display.”

Don't understand why you would say that. They actually have decent produce. Maybe not Farmer's Market fresh, but where do you buy better?

It's a joke. The meat at Rouse's can sometimes be at or past expiration.
