Anyone like me and doesn't order out of their comfort zone?

I think I miss out on some great food because I am not sure I would like it When we go out I typically order the same thing every time from a particular restaurant. I thnk I need to be "bolder" and discover more flavors, like them or not
I've tried a few and have been disappointed. I.e. menudo, tripe, chittlings, tongue, calf brains, livers, fish eggs, i.e. caviar, goat and I'm sure I am forgetting some
Any suggestions out of the box I should try?

Try things like thai curry and common vietnamese dishes like pho. They'll introduce you to new and unique flavors without being too far out there.
Based on your post, you don't seem to be a fan of the "poverty" cuts, which is fine.
Do this. When you go out for Asian, skip chinese and hit vietnamese or thai. When you go out for Latin, skip Mexican and maybe hit Caribbean or South American.
Do that sorta thing and you'll expose yourself to some new flavors without stepping too far out from your comfort zone.

You do realize that if you order and don’t like it, you can order something else? Try new things at more casual restaurants where ordering a replacement dish won’t throw off the pacing of a meal. Or, order your favorites/old standards, plus something new for everyone at the table to share.
Also, try ordering a half portion or asking for a taste. Many mom n pop ethnic restaurants are happy to bring out a spoonful of something for you to try (obviously soups/stews/sauces, not made to order items like stir fries)

I'm the type that will eat anything and everything. Hard to find something I won't eat. I'll even eat stuff I don't like that was just how I grew up. As such I tend to order around the menu rarely ordering the same thing twice.

I mean that stuff is pretty far out there. We aren't talking Veal instead of beef or mussels or something like that.
As said, the best thing to do is order food you like and then have a cup of Menudo or something like that.

I tend to get tunnel vision at certain restaurants- pho when it’s cold, pad Thai or Bun when it’s hot, rarely anything else. So the last time I went, I looked at the menu beforehand and picked something I had never ordered before, and didn’t look at the menu for an out or an audible when I got to the restaurant. It turned out good, and now I have another ‘go to’ at that restaurant
