45 lbs is a sack full of tiny crawfish. Typical sack is 30-35 lbs for good size crawfish.

The guy on Jefferson/ 73 by Manchac river will usually do smaller / half sacks. He also has soft shell crawfish. I don’t know the number but if you google map it, you can probably see his sign from the road.

You are confused

The lower the poundage in a sack the bigger the crawfish. A 30lb sack is some mack daddys

Anyone who thinks crawfish get smaller as the sacks get lighter is a damn couillon that should be in the corner drinking beer and nowhere near the pot

Yep.

I might be the only one, but I don't like the huge ones.

33-35lb sack is about perfect

But I am with you I would rather a 38 lb sack than a 30 lb one

I really hate the practice of having to buy crawfish by the whole sack. It wasn't that much of a problem 10 years ago when you could get them for so much cheaper than you can now. I made a post on here about this recently and wish you could just pay by the pound like you can for every other seafood. I get that the fishermen don't want to break up the sack but in this day and age it needs to happen. Sometimes I just want to cook some for me and the lady like I do with shrimp.
