Are these worth the money?

They seem legit but I would like to hear from someone who has one if it’s worth the investment.

I don't know but I can tell you this. The newer Weber genesis grills have some sort of design flaw that keeps them from searing all that well.

The grill gets plenty hot enough to sear but there's maybe something going on with the burners that keep the cast iron grates from heating properly. I wonder if the burners are set too far from the grates?

The point is this. Although I've been a Weber guy for many years and have loved them. The newer higher end models (I have one) in my opinion are substandard.

Go napoleon or broil king.

My Pops has the Prestige 665 running off the natural gas line from the house, it's legit. A little more than I would prefer to pay for a grill but, the all stainless everything is easy to maintain and he's notorious for abusing appliances.

It sears really well even without the infrared rear burner on. The only issue he's had is with the lighted control knobs. A couple of them do not illuminate. Probably due to his abuse. IF I had the money, I'd gladly buy one.

Thanks for the heads up. That’s really disappointing to hear.

Weber genesis

I have the 3 burner, new model, and don't have any issue.

I do agree the burner does sit pretty far down in there under those "flavorizor bars".
