I see it’s coming to L’Auberge in a couple weeks. Thinking about buying a couple of tickets for my wife and I but having trouble finding much info on it. Anyone gone to previous years that can give me a review?

The Food & Wine Fête features our Chefs Competition where 40 local chefs will prepare their best dishes for the chance at winning the Gold Medal, People’s Choice or Best in Show. Attendees are invited to sample all the food prepared in the Chefs Competition and over 200 wines from all over the world throughout the evening, while enjoying live music & entertainment
Tickets are $75 per person which doesn’t seem to bad if it’s a legit event

Baton Rouge's version of the NOWFE Grand Tasting, but on a smaller scale. Not so crowded. Probably been to most of them since the beginning. Restaurant and caterers serve tastes of one or two dishes that are judged by the celebrity judges and participants. Along with the dishes, 200 or so wines are served. The wines are judged and awards presented before the end of the event. There's a silent action too.

Do you feel like it’s an event worth going to?? Trying to decide if I’m going to buy tickets

If you like getting dressed
up and eating around a room while trying multitudes of wine it is well worth your time. Food is mostly good and the wine company's usually bring it.

The price has gone up from what I remember, thought it was $60/person the last couple years. If you like wines, the variety you can taste is pretty good, although these days a lot of the wineries represented are not the big names that you know. But it's a good way to taste new wines that you might not usually select from a wine store shelf and find something new.
Same with the restaurants, they cover the gambit, but the bigger names from BR don't often appear. Newer, smaller restaurants and caterers make up most of the participants. Since they are competing, the dishes are usually pretty interesting and good.
Usually they put the list of participating food servers on the website, but I don't see anything this year.
Biggest complaint of these events is that many of the vendors inevitably run out of food and wine before the allotted time is up.
