It's pretty popular so you may have been but it is a whole in the wall and excellent. Pinetta's, Italian restaurant on Perkins in the Southdown area. Shrimp au gratin is amazing. Also they have a really good French onion soup.

Not sure if you would call it "hole in the wall", but Chelsea's has pretty damn good food. . I recommend the Chicken fried chicken

Gail's dinner in Prarieville...........good plate lunch specials. The breakfast is good too.

little Italian place on Seigen in front of the target out there. name escapes me but the never ending pasta bowl is off the chain

Can't remember the name of Olive Garden? That little place is huge and the largest Italian chain in the US.

Pocorello's on coursey has great food. bring your cash. 10 years ago, I would consider sammy's on highland a hole in the wall, but not any more.
