It's pretty popular so you may have been but it is a whole in the wall and excellent. Pinetta's, Italian restaurant on Perkins in the Southdown area. Shrimp au gratin is amazing. Also they have a really good French onion soup.

Not sure if you would call it "hole in the wall", but Chelsea's has pretty damn good food.

. I recommend the Chicken fried chicken
