Any y'all ever take a chunk of skin off with the cheese grater?

I took a big chunk off of the tip of my pinkie finger yesterday while grating some Parmesan for my Minestrone soup. Every time I go to change the dressing, it starts bleeding again.
Any of you have any good advice to make the bleeding stop once and for all? No stitching can be done since the flesh is gone, so no need to go to the ER or Doctor.

Lost some skin off my middle and ring finger tips on a mandolin one time. It took a loooong time to stop bleeding. Had to just hold pressure and leave the dressing in place for several hours. Get some gauze and bandage tape and just tourque it around each finger.

Cauterize it if your're a glutton for pain. Otherwise just put some super glue on it.
Did you remove the skin shaving from your cheese or just leave it in?

I waffle cut my thumb on the mandolin. Deep and looked like a tic tack toe board for a month.
Grated my knuckles many times. Cut the tip of my index finger while cutting celery for the vegetarian vegetable soup. I just scratched through the sign and wrote beef vegetable.

Pressure and time. That's it. If you can wrap it with a dressing and get it under control, don't take the dressing off till 12 hours later at least. Finger bleeds are the worst. I yanked a plastic spoon out of my utensil drawer because it was stuck and ran the tip of my middle finger down the entire length of a bread knife. That thing hurt like a mug and bled off and on for 12 hours.

You poor thing!
The bleeding should have stopped by now.
The correct thing to do is not remove the dressing for a day and hold your finger above your heart. That reduces bleeding.

Took a chunk out of my index finger with a vegetable peeler. Pressure and time is the correct answer here.
Oh and bourbon. Lots of bourbon

How in the _ do you do this? Doesn't that require two passes over the blade to achieve?
