Anything pop up lately for a nice dinner atmosphere besides that place in the Southern hotel? Looking to try something new for the wife's bday.

If you’re looking for ambiance it’s hard to beat Pat’s Rest a While

We’ve been there a couple times, solid place. It’s on our short list along with 527 and Pardos if nothing new peaks our interest.

Valencia Spanish Restaurant on Lee St. is new and has a nice
porch and interior. But there's always a but right.
Wife and I went there with really high hopes. The food was good but the service was terrible.

Tavi is right around the corner from the southern and is excellent if you like that type of food. Greyhound is also really good

haven’t tried Valencia yet but it just opened

Not sure about restaurants, but Odelia next to Coffee Rani in Mandeville is a cool little spot to grab a drink after dinner. You may need a reservation.

Tavi is legit. Mezze & lamb ragu hummus to start. Then prob split an entree because you’re already almost full. The salmon with cous cous is solid.

Valencia's food is good. Service isn't great, but they're brand new.

Valencia food was decent. I wasn't too big on the service either. The goat cheese app came with 4 little crostinis and the waiter charged us a dollar when we asked for more to even remotely finish the goat cheese spread

petty. We ordered family style the first time we went and I was a huge fan of the duck grilled cheese. It was my favorite thing we tried. I really want to go back for dinner to try their paella. The porch is a cool spot to sit and have a few drinks.
