So I assume Tin Roof just hopped on the can bandwagon? If so thanks for saving me a shitty six pack.

They are improving, not trying to knock a brewery working to correct their issues. Parade Ground Porter and Juke Joint IPA a good beers.

This. They seem to really be turning it around. I haven't had a chance to try to Juke Joint yet, but I've heard good things

Nothing wrong with Tin Roof Blonde, I prefer it to NOLA Blonde. Prefer the Voodoo Bengal Pale Ale cans over the Perfect Tin Amber cans. If Juke Joint IPA ever goes to cans, I would buy those to keep in the fridge

I would go to Parish. Good beer, good glassware, grab a shirt.

So far it's between Parish and NOLA for me, might go by SPECS or Whole Foods and see if I can find a brew to help my decision.

Well you're not going to find either at Spec's... but there will be a lot of beer that better than most you can find in Louisiana.

Parish and NOLA both do Friday tours, NOLA in the early afternoon around 1 or 2, Parish is 4-6 I believe.

Both would be solid options.

Or hit up Karbach or Buffalo Bayou in Houston, both really good tours/tastings.

Have been to Karbach haven't visited Buffalo Bayou yet. Had their 1836 at The Alamo draft house, it was pretty good.

And yes SPECS is pretty good on beers, I get bottled beer there and my growlers at Whole Foods.

Didn't say that.

But if you think Yuengling is a good brewery your opinion is tainted.

There's a reason it sells for $1 for a 16 ounce can.

Theyve been open what, 2 years at least. How long does it take to work out the "issues"?

You're right, it took too long for them to correct some of the obvious quality issues they had when they opened and it has cost them a lot of good will.

That said they've greatly improved the quality and consistency of their beer in the past six months to a year.

I know every brewery I started had their shite straight from the outset.

I can name at least 10 breweries that have opened in the last 2 years that havent had the issues tin roof has. Ive given up on them. And the coffee porter wasnt that good, it was ok, but they didnt even cold press the coffee.

True, there are breweries that never hiccup, start out with a bang and never stumble.

Doesn't make me believe that they can't make a good beer or learn from mistakes. Certainly won't "give up" on them if they are continuing to try.

I remember a lot of people down on St Arnold's for Weedwacker, Santos, and others. However we all wanted the Pumpkinator and DR13 recently.
