I understand this is Nola. Many days I do my day drinking at the Erin Rose, Ave Pub or Bulldog and lunch at parkway, the joint, or stiens, ect. I'm just in lazy mode and rum house is around th corner.

I gotcha.

Do yourself a favor next time and check out la Casita. It's so much better and cheaper then Rum House it's laughable. It will not have the same eye candy around, but that's what bars are for.

I thought La Casita was a bar. Food trucks have bigger kitchens.

Was gonna go to Casita in a few minutes with a work buddy but we decided to try to swing by the new Domenica location instead.

Just checked it out. Holy shite never heard of this place. Will def check out. What's the verdict on the pork tacos? That's a deal breaker for me. Happy hour looks great too

Both good choices, ostensibly. Curious to hear more takes on Pizza Domenica. When I ran by last night around 7 it was bursting at the seams. Crowd looked like a mix of families and Tulane college kids .. the dorky, bookish kind.

It's ok, but they are overhyping the place.

Reading this made me flash back to an ex-girlfriend that would quote Mean Girls pretty much all the time.

Cochon de mexicana ones or the carnitas? I think both are solid. The chicken and the brisket both solid too.

Simple, tasty tacos at a low cost .. don't go in expecting to have your doors blown off by scallop tacos w/ dill yogurt and asparagus or any other some such nonsense.

And the pork & sweet potato quesadillas are on point.
