Gris Gris, my point is that an upscale hotel should not have all of these problems going on at once. Yeah, I can call to have them fix whatever the problem is, which I did on all accounts, but I shouldn't have a laundry list of things when I stay there.

You can defend them all you want.

It's no secret that the Windsor Court started a slow steady downfall several years ago. I knew it from reading about the restaurant and how far it had fallen, but know of several people who had experienced problems at the hotel.

Recently, a better GM was hired and some renovations were done, making the place somewhat better. Hopefully the new owners will go all out and make it the special place it is supposed to be.

Python,

I don't give credence to some of your arguments like the microwave, the coffee pot or light bulbs out.

I would have been upset to have buckling carpet and furniture falling apart. That's not acceptable.

I will continue to stay there, for now, and I'm looking forward to the improvements.

I don't eat in the restaurant when I'm there, with the exception of a fabulous lunch I had there last year. Until I read that the restaurant has improved dramatically, I will eat at other restaurants I know to be excellent.

Dear mani,

Bright colors and shiny objects confuse me. Thanks for your understanding.

So, the friend decided on the roosevelt.

but it appears that dinner was booked at someplace that was not recommended in this thread. so, the food board is not responsible if they enjoy their nola meal.
