That’s exactly what it was, a cheap Poboy. It won’t stand against a “real” NO poboy. But it’s a nostalgic cheap sandwich from a convenient store.

Any Poboy in Baton Rouge that is not on NO bread is Waynes

Not the biggest deal, but what grounds is this comment made on? Not even remotely true.

Can you explain? How is it not even remotely true????

If a Baton Rouge restaurant or convenience store doesn’t use New Orleans Leidenheimer, then more than likely they are using Waynes.

Used to love Inga’s but price has gone up and regular is like 4”. Am Mart still gives you a large sandwich, chips and drink for like $10 bucks. Other places in town the poboy is $14 . Am Mart must be doing something right they don’t lack for customers.

I can call in an order when I leave work and it’s ready when I get there. The entire phone call takes 8 seconds and they get the order right every time. They never get my name right, though

God I miss that shite so much. I used to pound double meat cajun turkey/ham all the time

It's amazing I wasn't 300 lbs eating it so much in college! I'm proud to say I've continued the legacy with my kids, and it's one of their favorites. The store smells exactly the same as it did 30 years ago LOL.

Cajun turkey/provolone/Crawtators FTW!

That makes the bread completely garbage to me. It legit will cut the roof of your mouth

Yeah I remember being all in the AM Mart hype early in undergrad but quit by sophomore year for this reason.

The bread legitimately sucks pressed and the sandwiches are meh without being pressed. So the solution is to say no.

My son brought the family some today when he came home. Bread is soft. BS on the cutting mouth stuff.

But what is difference maker? The sauce? What is it?
