Air Fryer Recommendations?

I currently have a Cosori basket type fryer. I like it...it does the job...but I wish a had a tad more room and I wish the heat wasn't only coming from the top.
My budget is about $150. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! It doesn't have to be basket-style.

If you get the toaster oven style, which I would, just make sure there is enough room to cover the crumb tray with aluminum foil and slide it in and out below the heating elements.
Grease will build up often and easier just to throw the foil away. Be careful, cause it'll total catch on fire if you don't keep clean.

I bought Cooks Illustrated’s top pick, Instant Pot - 6qt Vortex Plus ClearCook. Works well. No complaints.
The ClearCook is a window so you can check the food without opening the drawer and letting the heat out. Great feature.

I switched from a basket type to one that has multiple levels and uses slide in racks. The problem is that a basket is so much better for things like fries or something that you need to shake and move around halfway through cooking. The racks let crumbs fall through and to turn anything you have to pull it out completely and use tongs to turn everything. If this one goes out then I will try and find an air fryer that has both a basket and multiple levels, just not sure it exists. (My air fryer does have a rotating spick with a round basket but I never found it to work well as the food was moving too much, if that makes sense)

I hear ya. I've thought about what you said about the basket. It is nice to shake it and it's easier to clean I'm sure...It'd also be nice to have a spit to roast a chicken. I don't know wtf to do haha.

We had a basket type first and then got a toaster over type. We got a Breville that also let us move other appliances off the counter.
The basket types are indeed easier to shake what you are cooking but we find it is rarely necessary because the heat comes from the bottom too. IN the end, it is harder to clean but much more functional and does a ton more than the basket types. We use it a ton as just a small oven because it heats up so fast we are able to finish cooking a lot of things before our full ovens even get up to temp. We still have the basket one in the pantry but haven't used it since we got the front door type.

Cooks great chicken wings, pizzas, etc. I like that it has a sear plate on it and it has a probe mode where you can set internal meat temp. I buy fat pork tenderloins, do internal heat mode, and walk off. I’ve even done thin and thick pork chops in it, thick with the probe as well.
Frozen pizzas actually get crispy crust

New Sur La Table air fryers at Costco is excellent choice...have 3 of them home, Destin and Kerrville Ranch!
