Am I an idiot? It's all I have in my house.

I'll post some pics when I'm done.

I'm far from a connoisseur of jambalaya (or anything really), but jasmine rice is so fragrant that I would wonder what it will be like.

Probably the heavy flavors of the dish will dominate the floral scent of the rice though.

Let us know.

It'll be good, but I prefer using parbroiled arborio rice. It's the best texture for andouille-spiced kale sausage and Gardein chicken nugget jumbalaya.

Yes, but it has nothing to do with your question on using Jasmine rice.

I use Jasmine exclusively for anything in my house. Used it for a jamb yesterday as well and it came out excellent. You just need to remember that it takes less water for it. I used 2.5 cups of rice and 3.25 cups of water.

I always use jasmine or basmati rice. For everything.

I’ve been complemented on it for jambalaya and gumbo.
