2 oz white rum (no Bacardi), quality
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

Barcardi still makes a really good daq, and I prefer a little stronger rum pour to mine as well

My preferred marg recipe:

6oz tequila
2 oz Lime
1.5oz SS/Agave, sometimes do half and half of both

1 oz. Cointreau

Grand Marnier is so much better.

I've made them both ways. I prefer them with Cointreau, plus that's what's used in the Original Recipe. But at the end of the day, it's just a matter of personal taste.

Do you mean an original daiquiri? Then I like a mixture of a 2,1,1 mixture.
2 oz white rum (no Bacardi), quality
1 oz simple syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

I have even gone up to 4:1:1 Rum.

I'm going to give that a try.

We loved that place when we lived near Ocean Beach.

My inlaws were regulars there for years. Tommy's catered one of our wedding parties and Julio Bermejo was there cranking out 'ritas
