48 Inch range has stainless steel griddle. Can I swap out with a Cast Iron?

So I'm about to get a new range and the one I'm getting has a steel griddle. Besides not liking the look all that much I also prefer using this as a cast iron finish.
Here's an example of one with the stainless steel. This isn't the one I'm getting but just shows the setup.
48 Inch Range
Do you think I'd be able to literally just take the existing one out and purchase an exact sized cast iron one? I would imagine these are all similar sizes.
I asked if the model I was getting had a cast iron one but they said no. And I still want to get this one because I'm getting a great promotion and deal on it.
*** As an aside.... anyone have this 48 inch setup with griddle? If so, what do you use the griddle for?

The one you linked has an option for...
I have a smaller GE Cafe series with a cast iron griddle. If you give me the model you are interested in getting I can see if the sizes match up.
That being said, I don’t use the griddle nearly as much as I thought I would. It’s kind of a pain to clean and if I want to use a griddle I usually just use my grill outside.

I have a Viking 48”, has 6 burners & cast iron griddle. I’d think other brands would as well...

Why in the world are you buying something you don’t want?

Haha, ease up.
The range I’m buying is on promotion. 3 grand cheaper than normal. But it’s specific. It has the stainless steel griddle.
I’m just thinking ahead and wondering if I can rip out the steel and put in a cast iron option for a couple hundred bucks.

I may have that exact model. I like the griddle, but it doesn't hold heat well, so you don't want to overload it. I try to use half of it, so I can move the food around so it doesn't lose too much heat. The heat is also inconsistent all over the griddle.
Saying that, I still like using it. Breakfast is popular of course, make great burgers, will do stir fry, press sandwiches often. Good for cooking tortillas and heating up meat on another spot. I also think its really easy to clean. Tons of youtube videos explaining how.
The ovens are also very accurate and even cooking. I like having the different sizes, as I use the smaller one most of the time.

Where? I haven't seen one anywhere for that range.

I have a cast iron griddle on my Jenn Air, but it’s no where close to 48”. I do love it though.
I cook all sorts of stuff. Anything breakfast related, grilled sandwiches, fish, stir fry, etc. I like it a lot more than having two extra burners. Like how often do you need 4 burners?

I have the same unit but it's the 2003 model. I have the stainless griddle. We don't use it much, but have cooked steaks, shrimp, and pancakes. Great for onions and mushrooms. What is the advantage of cast iron? Hotter?

Cast Iron does a much better job with heat retention.

I clean it hot, right after I cook. Water and A cotton dish towel.

You could just put a cast iron overlay on it like they make for stove tops. Would be easier to clean that way too.

The thermal conductivity of cast iron is more than triple that of stainless steel and therefor much better for cooking.
