A big arse pond created when water bores its way under a levee.

From what I gather in the video they were expecting draining back to the river and not increased flow out correct?

The expectation of blowing the two lower fuse plug sections was that water would exit the floodway. Instead river water entered.

Nope. The water in the floodway has fallen about four or five feet from its crest.

I have seen a pond in Madison Parish called a blue hole, they said it was very deep and they claimed it was somehow connected to the river. It was small but full of fish

The camera man is fat as hell, you can hear it in his breathing and the way his cheeks sound full.

Lake Concordia has a blue hole. It has been filling in since the levee break in 37 or 27. Used to be 80 feet deep in the early 80's. Prolly 50-55 now.

There are three of them on an island that I paddle to fairly regularly. They occur when the water comes up through the sandy bottom. The water in the blue holes I know is amazingly clear and clean. I love swimming in them.
