ETA: don't make it around much so not familiar with Rattle, but Freek is the farker known in corners darker, known for the haw and guffaw away from the law, and the groan on loan from my nana's stone cold moan.

I generally don't rank - I enjoy the collective.
Push comes to shove - Freek has history, consistency and a national footprint to his credit.
IMO - Rattle may be a little more slick... but not quite as funny (It's just software).

Just curious why you'd broach this topic with less than 40 of your 3000+ posts here on the fark board....

Rattle, Freek, SoonerPsycho, NotoriousGOP, HooDoo, and a few others are all really good.
Though they don't pop up as often as those names do I also enjoy the work of yurintrouble, TimDallinger, DawgFarker, Nortizzle, and a few others (can't list every single person who farks off the top of my head).
Some may be a bit ahead of others in some departments, but all in all I'd say they are all on fairly level ground. I'm sure each of them has a niche area that they are better at. Depends on the fark.
If I ever get something farked I'd probably get a collaborative effort. Leave the idea up and see what everyone throws out and kind of mix and match the best parts of all of 'em (after all, their individual interpretations will vary from each other and will vary from what I originally had in mind). They are all excellent and put out great work on their own time with nothing more than a "thank you" as payment.
I guess what I'm getting at is: It doesn't matter who is on top. They all do great work and they all shine at different times (Tim can make mean vectors, GOP is playing with 3D shite that is simply amazing, Freek can make some sick gifs). They have all done amazing work and given me (and many others) plenty of laughs and I would like to thank them for their hard work.
