I had Edelman last year. And let me just say, it was the toughest decision to start week to week of any 100 catch WR i remember.

You can bookmark. At least get the whole quote, though.

His production is predicated by injuries and guys getting better.

Yea he had like 3 20 catch games or some wild shite. Post his point total by game if you got it. Now add healthy Gronk, healthy for now Amendola, Dobson in his 2nd year

True, but id rather take him getting a minimum 8-10 points than someone like vincent jackson who will literally either win or lose the week for you.

FYI, I had both last year.

Negative, he had 2 games with over 10 receptions and 3 with 9.

Only times he was a no show were weeks 8-10. Besides those 3 weeks he averaged 7.6 receptions, 77.7 yards, and .46 tds.

What are your predictions on his numbers this season and where does he fall in terms of targets in that offense?

Is it crazy to assume Gronk, Amendola, Dobson and maybe even Vereen have more targets? You guys seem to assume he will be 2nd behind Gronk, yes?

And this will be Edelman's 2nd season as a full time starter and we don't expect him to get better?.

Being that Amendola is a woman, yes. He may even finish first in receptions. vereen for check downs, edelman and gronk in the open spaces. lafell/dobson on the outside.

85 receptions, 1100 yards, and 6 tds is not out of the question. Edelman is the poor man's welker.

Naw he had a huge lull in the middle of the season. ANd by the time crunch time came around late in the season, it was hard to gauge if he was going to put up a clunker, or catch 10 balls.

A lot of it had to do with injuries, i agree. Amendola was back and forth, Gronk eventually came back, etc etc.

Another valid point, Edelman and Gronk are the only ones that extended game time reps with Brady.

Lemme ask you LE, what do you expect of Gronk coming off a week 14 ACL?

He killed me in that 3 week no show. But besides that was pretty consistent.

Why are the frick are people worried about Emmanuel Sanders stealing some of DT88's production? Decker is gone and he is a way better wr than Sanders.

I hyped Edelman big time going into last year, so i like the guy. But after owning last year it seemed a lot of his playing time was coming by default. Injuries to GRonk and Amendola, then the 2 rookie WRs. He was basically the only guy.

Im not saying he wont produce, but I don't think it's safe to just label him as one of their top 2 WR's this year. You might get burned.

As for Gronk, im guessing he'll be fine if fully healthy.

Its laughable... He finished as a top 3 WR in most league formats, #1 in PPR with Decker on the other side of the field

Theres no reason to think he wont do it again... The league knows Peyton will find the open man, rather than force it to one guy. Because of that, teams cant afford to double DT the entire game.

Hes arguably the most talented WR in the league, with the best QB of all time throwing him the rock.

They are raving about Gronk's progression

The initial depth chart they released had Amendola as one WR ahead of Thompkins and Edelman and the other over Dobson. Now we know Belicheck gives vets the top of the depth chart, especially in Dobson's case since he's banged up. I'm just not sold on him getting starter reps unless of injury. And I'm not drafting a dude that early hoping the guy in front of him gets hurt
