Why did they get rid of the probable designation?

Every week damn near 90% of the league is questionable now.
It could be a hangnail or someone who broke their leg. Not to mention the players designated as "questionable" but likely a starter, then they are out of the game after two plays.
At least with the probably designation, you could feel somewhat confident of a players potential to play a full game.

I didn't understand getting rid of it.
I remember when they trashed it the talking point was that "it was a worthless designation".

People got too mad when probable players didnt play, and teams (Bill Belichick) started gaming injury designations and using questionable a lot more when probable would have been correct
