Game script does not favor James Conner at all. Ugh

I have a group message that thought after the first week when he went for 130 yards, the Steelers we’re doing the right thing by not offering Bell. They were arguing he was a product of the system. This team would be a lot different with Bell.

I feel like the Steelers are missing Bell and his explosiveness. Conners just doesn’t have it.

His draft notes
quote:

WEAKNESSES

Needs a clean slate of blocks to consistently make his way around the corner on the next level. Could struggle to accelerate from tacklers if he gets too cute. Runs with stiff hips and heavy legs. Lacks quick-escape athleticism for sudden shake in open field. All power, no finesse. Early defensive penetration short-circuits his run. Average lateral movement and not desired amount for every-down back. Can be a little slow to process moving parts in front of him. Not a press-and-cut back and needs to learn to set blocks up better. Hands a little stiff as pass catcher and will fight the ball at times. Tape shows occasional confusion in blitz pick-up. Medical concerns will continue to follow him.

I think the biggest issue is that Ben doesn’t have the report or trust in him. He doesn’t check down near as like he does with Lev.

How does Collins have yet another fumble? Dude can’t hold onto the ball. Luckily I benched him for this reason, but I was hoping he would produce enough to trade him or keep him as good bye week filler

Doesn’t trust or check down to him bc he’s not that good. Can’t compare him to bell. Best case is feeding him with a lead

40 of his 61 carries have gone for 3 yards or less

Yeah I think Conner owners need to realize the only good thing about this dude is the volume

Bell is by far and away the better player

The Lions have to erase LeGarrette Blount from their game plan. His touches hurt the program. He now has 35 carries for 95 yards. Kerryon Johnson has 216 on just three more carries.

Lions still refusing to free Kerryon Johnson. Played 21 snaps yesterday vs. 14 for Blount & 25 for Riddick. Johnson is averaging 5.7 YPC, Blount 2.7 YPC.

quit being stupid Lions

Thinking about taking a chance on him

Drake is gonna continue to ride my bench. This was fine with me for the first few weeks cuz I picked up Conner but Conner is now running on empty. My other options are Hyde and Lindsay until Miami gets their shite together and start using Drake.

it's PPR.

Hoping he doesn't slug someone again and get ejected. Really need the W this week.

Target share is misleading. Some teams pass 25 times a game, some teams pass 50 times. IMO flat targets are more valuable than target share, or at least target share needs to be paired with flat targets or avg passes per game
