I did not have enough money for Rizzo and already had two monsters at first with E5 and Votto. I wanted him bad at that price.

I honestly couldn't tell you anything about Rizzo or what team he played for before the draft. I suck

He cheats. He looks in at catchers signs to see if he can figure out the pitch. You don't want a guy like that.

I will have an extra MI guy. I have Kelly Johnson, Chase Utley, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Xander Boegarts.

Maybe Utley for Holland?

I am a diehard phillies fan. Don't want utley on my fantasy team and Holland is my only closer. I'll start looking at trades after the season gets underway.

I actually do not have a concrete reason. I just think tchamp has a better team I guess. The overall is not an average of hitting and pitching. Also, tchamp at 14th in hitting is not far away from other teams, but White easily has the worst pitching with only papz in the same stratosphere.

I did notice I had Swamie and PSU lower than the other rankings. Good to see some differences. Should mean the teams are close.

you spent $28 on Jason Heyward. He's young and has potential but so far he's shown he's injury prone. He has 1900 major league at bats so you have a good amount of data. He's a career .259 hitter with a career .794 OPS. He only averages 22 homers a year. If this is his breakout year he'll be worth the $28.

Justin Upton went for $29 and he has much better career numbers and will likely have much better numbers in 2014 then Heyward. I wouldn't call Heyward a bargain at $28.

Yeah, I have not been doing much with baseball lately. shite, I procrastinated on the rankings and I love doing those.

I agree about Heyward. Dude was OPSing like 1000+ For a good stretch before he shattered his jaw.

Guess I came across overly critical of Heyward. Last year he had two freak injuries (appendectomy and hit in the face with a fastball). But he's had hamstring issues so I don't think you'll ever see north of 20 stolen bases again. If he's healthy this year he's probably looking at 8-9 steals. Couple that with maybe 25 homers and a .260 batting avg.

Say he has a breakout year.

28 homers .277 batting avg?

I think your best picks are Burnett for $7 and dickey for $9. Two pretty good pitchers for $16. Dickey is healthy this spring and his knuckle curve looks excellent so far in ST. Burnett doesn't have the defense he did in Pittsburgh but phila will use the shift just like Pitt did to take advantage of his league leading ground all rate.

I like Burnett as much as the next guy but i think that's a little bit of a stretch for Dickey. He's a nice sleeper pick this year, but how many people actually think he could have another Cy Young type year?

Dickey will be quality. When he was able to get through his back issues in the second half and throw that faster knuckler, his numbers got much better.

Dickey had a back injury to start 2013. As the season wore on he got better as his velocity improved. His velocity at the end of 2013 wasn't quite his Cy Young levels but it was trending in that direction. August and sept his ERA dropped and his K rate rose. For $9 he doesn't need to get even close to Cy Young levels to be a value pick.

Agreed. I just think there are so many factors that go into him performing well (like various issues with keeping his nails a certain length) for him to be someone that you consistently feel well starting. I agree though that he did get much better when healthy towards the end of the year, but I just don't trust him due to streakiness.
