459 is done with senate. House votes on if the amendments are done and then to governor.

Ok wtf. HB459 has turned into a sports wager bill.
I’m done tracking these worthless senators. Geez this is some stupid shite. How in 2 days does a dfs bill turn into a sports wagering.

Yeah 459 has the sports gambling bill attached to it. They'll vote on that tomorrow.
600 failed to get the votes today but will be reconsidered once the outcome of 459 is voted on.

Is there another legislative session later in the year? Today could be the day this all gets shelved until the next session.

One of the bills has a clause that states if the tax rate and fees aren’t approved by a certain time they will be not charge a dime.

459 is going to get stripped of amendments and passed. 600 will likely get voted on later today. At least that's what Talbot told me

Is there.a chance Martiny/Marino try to discharge the appropriations committee and leave HB459 alone?

Depends if Cameron Henry shows up today. He's left each time that's tried to get accomplished. He can just leave anytime he wants and does so then

Hopefully the people in Old Metairie/airline park contact Henry and let him know that if he vows to the truck stop special interests he can get a job working at one if this bill doesn’t pass.
I guess that’s where the John Georges special interest comes in.....
Local politics are one place where ordinary citizens can actually make a difference.

He's actually going to show up today, we just asked him. But now the bills need a 2/3 vote since it's the last three days of the session. Less likely to pass now.
Henry is going to run for Senate this upcoming election since he can't run for the House

What a fricking joke term limits are. Hope everyone who voted for dfs votes against him in the senate race.

Read by title. The Senate approved consideration after 6:00 p.m. on the 57th calendar day by a vote of 28 yeas and 11 nays.
No clue what this means. I’m guessing revote.

Seriously the only two items that were needed was how much to charge and tax and where the money is going. Lol. How does that get screwed up.
