I'm sitting with Romo and Palmer.

I was expecting with the Dallas defense being absolute garbage we'd see Romo have games where he's average one week, then chunks it for 350 yards and 3TD's the next.

They just aren't interested in passing that much this season.

And Palmer, mehh.

10 team. Non-PPR. My roster:

Tony Romo
Matt Forte
Le'Veon Bell
AJ. Green
Kennan Allen
Just Maclin
Greg Olson
Cardinals D
Mason Crosby

Carson Palmer
Darren Sproles
Pierre Thomas
Michael Crabtree
Allen Hurns (Week 1 pickup)
Jerick McKinnon (Week 2 pickup)

What's it going to take to get me a decent QB that's in or borderline to top 10 fantasy QB's in the league? Someone like Foles, Cutler, Rivers, Russel Wilson, Kap, etc.

Should I ride it out with Romo? or dump him now?

Crabtree or Allen attached to Romo may get you an upgrade... tough to tell without seeing the rest of the leagues rosters.

I think Romo turns it around. But if you don't believe so, I would go look at other teams rosters.. Like the Brees/Rodgers/Manning and maybe Stafford/Luck owners too. They are likely starting these guys each week no matter what. See if they have an upgrade to Romo on their bench and send them Romo + a WR/RB.

Are there no decent qb FAs?

Honestly, do you need to even trade?
With Forte, Bell, AJ, Maclin, and Olsen, it seems like you should be undefeated.

I would look for the team or toe that has the best backup QBs. Offer up a Crabtree or Thomas and see what happens. Anyone who rosters a great backup QB has to be dying to trade him

Nope.

EJ Manuel
Geno Smith
Derek Carr.

Kirk Cousins got picked up by the owner of Cam Newton. Smart.

I picked up Ryan Tannehill Sunday morning because I was worried about Palmer vs 49ers and Romo vs St Louis.

Wasn't a bad pickup. Seemed safe. He got me 13.1 as compared to Romo's 16.1

I am undefeated. I just got waaaay too cute tinkering with my line-up this week.
- Pulled AJ Green, was worried he wouldn't be 100%
- Replaced Bell with Dareen Sproles because he was at Carolina
- And the Cardinals D and Mason Crobsy only got me a total of 5 points this week.

Just a shite week is all. Still have a shot to win it. Have Forte and am down 11.9 points. My opponent is done for the week.

Great QB's and their backups:

Manning > No QB
Brees > Alex Smith
Rodgers > Russell Wilson
Luck > Ben Roethlisberger
Brady > Andy Dalton
Stafford > Colin Kaepernick
Rivers > Matt Ryan
Cutler > Nick Foles

I'd be happy with either Ryan/Rivers, Kaep, Foles/Cutler, or Wilson.

Assuming you meant Jeremy Maclin in the OP and not the LSU defensive end.. You have 4 very good WRs (if Allen starts playing up to his ADP). Find the team who is weak at WR or has a losing record and offer them Romo + Allen/Maclin/Crabtree. I feel like that should get it done.

ETA: If no one takes this deal you're probably stuck. Offering anything better is overpaying IMO.

Sproles should get you one of those guys easy.

Sproles it was.

The guy with Stafford/Kaep needs running backs BAD. So I sent him Sproles + Romo for Kaep.

I know it's only a slight upgrade at the QB position, but with my WR/RB core, I just need a consistent 15-20 per week from the QB position. With the Cowboys backing off of using Romo to bring them back into games Brett Favre style by throwing 55 times a game. And them relying heavily on Murray and the OLine the first 3 weeks. I just don't trust Romo to get me what I need week by week.

Thoughts on the trade? Good? Bad? Mehh?

The only other offers or counter offers I had were:

Romo + Le'Veon for Sproles (frick no)
Romo + Kennan Allen for Cutler. (mehh, even with a disappointing Kennan so far)

This just seemed the safest

I feel like you're in a league full of idiots. 10 team league that plays 1 QB and those are the best available? I guess people really like wasting a roster spot for the one week Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers is on a bye.

Palmer and Romo should be enough with that team. I'm not sure how you landed Forte, Green, Allen, and Bell, but I bet it has something to do with your league being a bunch of idiots.

My apologies if your league is a family league.

I'll be honest with you...I think you panicked. Can you tell me for absolute certainty that Kaep will outscore Romo for the rest of the year? The answer is probably no, and you lost Sproles because of it.
