Trading for a quarterback

My roster currently
Qb fields and minshew
Running backs ekeler, hall, achane, tyjae spears Javonte Williams
Wr: aj brown, waddle, Calvin Ridley, Josh downs, Jaxon smith njigba
Tight end hockenson and trey McBride
I really feel like I need a better quarterback if I’m going to win it all. Additionally achane comes off IR soon so I’ll have to cut a player. Who should I be looking to trade to improve my Qb without totally decimating my team? I’m thinking one of the running backs because I have 4 quality ones but then it comes down to which running back or do you all have any insight to who you would be looking to move to upgrade at Qb?

I mean there are virtually no qbs on the waivers so I’ve got to make a trade… I’ve got 4 quality running backs and 3 quality wideouts. You don’t think there is a way to parlay Justin fields + wr + rb into a decent qb?
I don’t think I need a top 5 quarterback. Just a consistent one.. if achane comes back and does well I’ll have the strongest running backs in the league, aj brown and waddle aren’t a bad 1-2 at wideout. And hockenson is in that tier 2 of tight ends below Kelce.
I guess what I’m asking is how much would you sacrifice at the flex position normally choose between achane, Calvin Ridley, and javante to upgrade at quarterback over fields

Trading for QBs is complicated because you're for sure going to have to overpay as people generally overvalue them.
Your best bet is to find someone who has two startable QBs. Makes it easier for them to part ways with one.

I’m not sure Ridley and Williams have the value you think they do. That said, it doesn’t hurt to float some trade offers with Fields + one or both of them.
Fields is tough, because he could be QB1 or QB 25 rest of season.
Is anyone holding 2 QBs you like? Maybe you could keep Fields for the upside and trade for Dak or someone. I traded Jerome Ford to someone who had Dak on his bench because he had zero RBs with injuries and byes. I have Fields and Goff was on bye.

Not many QBs outside of hurts and Allen have been consistently high scoring this year. Seems like you’re just as likely to get a smash week from a borderline qb 1 guy as you are the top guys

Yeah Ridley doesn’t have the value I wish he had but I think another week for Javonte and he could have some value. Plus achane has got to have some value right??? I mean he’s on my squad so I’m biased..

Oh yeah, if you're willing to give up Achane, I would actually try to move him before he officially returns. I think fantasy owners are licking their chops for him to return. His value can only go down when he actually plays a game.

Exactly!! That’s what I’m thinking. If I move achane I’ll still have hall and ekeler starting with Javonte Williams being the back up. So I could do fields and achane for a decent tier qb and add in Ridley for a top gun

Quantity doesn't equal quality here. You aren't getting a top gun with this group. You'd have to give up Ekeler/Hall to get a top-tier guy.
What QB's are you looking at (assume that the opposing team has to have two starting-caliber QB's and a need at RB)?

One guy has burrow and Goff.. one guy has Tua and Watson one guy has mahomes and Wilson with only 1 wide receiver. One guy has Allen and dak.

If you want one of those two, you're most likely going to have to give up one of your top two RB's. You might be able to give up Achane and someone else to get Dak or Goff.
