Particularly in a PPR league. I’ve been taking a look at some of the mid tier guys and was wondering what others thought on them. Who do you like.

Guys like:

Kenyan Drake
Jordan Howard
Derrius Guice
Alex Howard
Lamar Miller
Derrick Henry
Jay Ajayi
Rashaad Penny

Which guys would you pick? Which ones would you avoid?

I like Howard and Guice the most out of those. Miller should be a dependable rb2/ excellent rb3. From what I've seen I think he's overly maligned and should be good value with where I'm guessing he's going to be going. Jay Ajayi I think should also be a fine rb1. Don't know where he's going to be picked yet. Wouldn't feel bad if he was on my team at all. Is Henry a post hype sleeper? I might end up trying to target him. Last year that entire offense was a mess. Bringing in new blood could change a lot fr him. Then again there's probably a downgrade particularly in PPR with Lewis being brought in.

I don't really believe in Drake, but that could just be me trying to convince myself that I didn't make a mistake dropping him in the dynasty league last offseason.

Penny I think could be in for a rough situation. Don't know how good that line is going to be. Reports that Carson has looked really good and should challenge for playing time. Still you don't take a rb in the first round to sit on him. I don't know, but I think I'll probably avoid him.

I don't know who Alex Howard is. After googling I don't think he's actually an NFL player. Maybe you're thinking Alex Collins? I wouldn't mind getting him at all. He looks electric on the field if you watch him play. rb2 right now with solid rb1 upside. Guess as always it depends where he goes.

As we sit today, PPR

1. Guice - can do it through air and ground, highest ceiling on list. They have beenitching to give a guy 20 carries a game for a few years

2. Drake - no real comp, can do it air and ground, big play and pass catching gives him a bump

3. Lam miller/ Howard/ Collins / Ajayi/ Henry — all have plus and minuses regarding skillset and timeshare. Just “guys” for now, I like Ajayi and Henry more than the others for their higher ceilings

4. Penny - as of now there’s too much carson noise, but he’s a stash type of guy who could emerge.

Kenyan Drake might have a problem with Kalen Ballage. Guy also runs well, especially at the goal line, and made a living out of catching the ball at ASU.

Because last year the backfield was split between kelly, thompson, and perine and a run game that has been almost non existent for the past 2 years. Why should i expect that to change with guice? Talented.. sure, but not the type of rookie to set the world on fire. especially in a place like washington.
