Port, I would highly suggest picking the shortest time options for the auction. If this is it, then oh well, but this draft will go on for hours on end with a bid time of 1 minute.
Anyone else who has played an auction (I have only done one in baseball) would probably agree with me on this one. Everyone will have plenty of time to bid on a player.

I still have yet to do a mock auction draft, but let me just throw it out there that 10 seconds to make decisions is pretty intimidating for people who have never done an auction before.

They are bids. Its just deciding weather or not you want to top a bid. Once you do a mock let me know if you're not comfortable with the time and we can go from there. I think you will find that it's plenty of time, but I have no problem with changing it.

quote:Les, go do a couple of auction mocks...you will see that 10 seconds is not alot because as bids are taken it resets to 10 seconds everytime. that 10 seconds could easily be 1 minute or more especially for the higher echelon of players. Do a few mocks, you'll see what im talking about.

So you don't need time to crunch numbers & balance your budget? Glance over stats/depth charts?
I just thought the point was for it to be more strategic. Just seems rushed but like I've said I haven't done a mock yet.

You have a point.
I've only done a few mocks, it was kind of difficult to crunch numbers to see where you stood.
