Good call. How would FAAB work?

Start w/ $200. Each week there's a blind blind auction on Tuesday's. Aucion processes tuesday PM/wed AM @ midnight. Highest bid wins. After the first FAAB run everyone becomes FAs, until the next week when everyone's back on waivers & another FAAB auction runs... etc etc

After u run out of the $200 (or w/e budget we decide), u can only pick FAs up after the weekly auction.

I think an auction draft is enough change for now

Disagree. Auction draft & FAAB go hand-n-hand. But if it's gonna create 12pgs of bitching from TDxx vets longing for the old days we can stick w/ regular waivers.

Why don't you leave the league if you are tired of the bitching?

bc I wanna win $1500+? Also the format port has constructed is like non-other. Ultra-competitive/ultra-exciting each week.

The bitching doesn't bother me, I'm laughing at that shite. TDFL was withering away & Port revitalized it & some of y'all are still complaining

I havent witnessed any bitching.

This is the type of dialogue that happens in every TD league. If you aren't talking about stuff nothing ever changes or gets better.

Honkus had a really good explanation. Typical FAABs in football are $100 to $200 (only played in 1 league that has done this, and I'm a huge fan).

Similar to the auction draft, everyone has an opportunity to claim any player on waivers--just have to win the bid.

Like last year, when Demarco Murray was the hot waiver wire pickup, that week (while players were all on waivers) everyone in the league could place a bid on him.

Just adds more strategy to the league, to make it more competitive

I know I made a comment about a lot of changes earlier in this thread. FWIW, I do not have a problem with us going to FAAB if those who have done auctions think it is best. In fact, I think if we are going to draft by auction, we probably need to have the waiver system work by auction. I assumed some type of auction system would be implemented into our league for waivers once we decided to make it an auction.

couple years ago me and 2 friends put in and played in a $500 league. It was snake draft that used FAAB.

I'd estimate that about 75% of the weeks, there was a hot waiver wire guy that people were competitively bidding for.

It'd suck when you lose a bid by only a few dollars, and suck even worse when you'd win a bid by $20 dollars.

We'll just have to agree to disagree here G, I'm not talking about specific rules discussion, which I agree is good for the well being of a league. more to that very vocal minority that was to divide the league in clicks & longs for a smaller less competive TDFL w/ old shitty owners that may have more OT-cred. I think they're just scared of the competition TBH.

Rondo I believe the general consensus last year was TDFL was stagnating & needed a shot in the arm. Like Gyno said; if you're not constantly evolving w/ the times you might as well be moving backward. Sorry no link.

Honestly, we have more trolls than the poli board. You should take most of the stuff said in these leagues with a grain of salt and consider the person saying them.

The problem with ranked waiver wire priority for auction is how do you set the initial ranking?

Also FAAB just adds more strategy.

I hope my auction draft goes relatively so I don't have to overspend in FAAB early in the year.

Teams who get hit with the injury bug early will probably be dead in the water later in the year in FA.
