i would have just kept E5. He's looking like a keeper on a team with 2-3 legit hitting keepers.
You hit on someone in the draft like that(house money), and you are trying to build. Would have been a nice piece.
but you get picks next year in hopes of what.....hitting on another player like you got this year with E5? endless cycle.

I considered keeping him. In the end I couldn't turn down a 1st & a 3rd for a career .260 hitter. I still think he drops 30+ bombs but the average will come down & there's a lot of baseball left to play to determine his keeper value.

a guy that you think might drop 30+ bombs isnt a keeper on your team?

Barry...let me stew on that offer.

ETA: his value will never get any higher, so IMO I did the "safe" thing & dealt him. Hopefully I draft a little better next year & it works out. There are 16 people in the league so I know I'll never please everyone, just gotta do what I thinks best for my team. I do appreciate your input & perspective tho.

Encarnacion will remember that he sucks eventually.

I remember when Rondo thought he was selling Bautista at his highest point, and netted Josh Beckett.

Pitching is the least of my concerns, Touls.
Of course, I would be playing the guy that has Weaver this week.
I have 25 IP, and a 0.80 WHIP. And Giraffe is DESTROYING me in that cat.

dealing for picks when you have no keepers is not safe, imo. It's your team though. you'll never get good if you sell off any good players you draft for picks. it will be an endless process. just my opinion.
