it's not too much for rick. because he doesn't care about this year anymore. all these guys like calderon, fields, and gortat are worth diddly to him after quitting this season.

I would've given him more fringe keepers back, but they are of no use to him. he wanted EG. I gave him EG.

it's always been like this in TDBBL. I thought you guys were trading crazy earlier. This is a lot closer in line to the types of trades made in past seasons.

I'm still trying to figure out what Rick was thinking.

He gave up 3 top 100 guys in Calderon, Fields and Jackson AND a hot player in Gortat (#83 over the past month) in exchange for three waiver fodder guys and Eric Gordon.

Calderon-76th
Fields-67th
Jackson-52nd
Gortat-147th

for

Gordon-30th
Ilyasova-124th
Randolph-385th
Brown-137th

i think this is by far one of the most one-sided deals made this year. SJax is more than equal value for an injured Eric Gordon.

It pretty much cost you nothing to improve your team drastically.

there are only so many roster spots for playoff teams, so after about 70 it's "waiver" fodder

typically you'll see a bunch of 2/1 and 3/1 deals for a keeper. a 4/1 is a rarity, and that's for a super duper badass (like lebron/durant)

hey randolph was a borderline keeper, and still has a keeper upside if he ever gets traded.

if/when he gets traded he'll probably be one of the hottest pick ups in the league

Heres a fact...he should have waited until after this week...this trade helps you twice since you get first crack at rick thats not trying.

there are two values. Present day value. And long term keeper value.

And to Rick, long term keeper value is the far more important value. And EG's is >>>>>>>>>> then Sjax. In fact, SJax might not even make my keeper list.

This trade is a lot more in the tradition of the trades that have been made in past seasons. This is fact. The values have been all screwed up by you newbies.

Also, you guys all had a chance at making a trade like this. Rick decided to sell TODAY. He announced it on the board that he was having a firesale.

Had you had an injured SUPER STUD you might have been able to do the same. Lucky me.

hey. i'm not saying he will or he won't. but there is a reason why i've been letting his no playing arse drag down my team for the past month and a half.

i honestly do believe that he'll get a shot, and excel when he does. probably blind homerism. but i still believe it honestly.

how was that talking down to someone? Are they talking to down to Rick with the shite he's getting for getting obviously the best player in the deal?

to me Rick got the best player by far in the deal. And then a player he likes who has the chance to perhaps turn into something, given that he has the time to see if AR pans out.

low risk high reward. the rest of the players he gave up he WILL NOT keep.

and i've long maintained that I think that EG has Russell Westbrook upside.
