Not in this league, and in TDFL Gyno is the one who suggested that the teams on the consolation bracket couldn't make adds or drops, and there was actually money on the line in that one.

Out of curiosity who did LE add that ignited this discussion? Who whined first?

He added Caron Butler and Stephen Jackson, and neither have keeper value. It's not whining. I said it could potentially lead to collusion questions, mainly regarding waiver claims. I haven't had an issue with the moves but I don't get them either.

Butler and Jackson have been keepers in the past. You never know where they end up.

Just playing devils advocate. I don't think they should be able to add anyone. You can open it back up after the playoffs for a month or so

Non-playoff teams should have the same opportunity as playoff teams to pick up someone like Jeremy Lin or Stephen Curry if they are dropped.

I just didn't want to be accused of being a lazy commish. I put it to a vote, and it won't hurt my feelings either way.

Like I said after I made the poll, it seems like something to be handled in the offseason and not this year.

I meant our fantasy league season ends.

And I think when it comes to collusion you know it when you see it and we can deal with it when it happens. No need for a preventative rule.

Couldn't disagree more. I think that once you re out of the playoffs , you re out. You shouldn't be able to feast on other people who are forced to drop people just to compete. You are no longer competing. Your season is over. You have had the chances via trades and free agency to make your next team better for the past few months. Why should you get additional chances with nothing on the line?

Look, i continued to compete even after I was out of it. In fact, the only reason your sorry arse made the playoffs is because I continued to play the season out.

If I put forth the fricking effort to win, set my lineup every fricking day, and pay my hundred fricking dollars, I should be allowed to pick up a potential keeper that is dropped, regardless of where I am in the standings.

this!

what if one of my players get hurt and his future is in question? What if i need to add a potential keeper?

as long as the NBA is playing games, I think it should be free game. You never know what my happebn.

in my case, i have 4 keepers, and 4 first round picks. Stephen Jackson or Caron Butler may be my 5th keep should i want to go into the draft with all 4 first round picks. It wouldnt matter who my 5th keper was. My 5th keepr would just basically be an extension of my draft picks. It would not be a good keeper, but with 4 early picks, it wouldn matter

I agree with you redd. UNTIL THE PLAYOFFS START. As it currently exists, the consolation bracket means nothing.

Your season is over.

You have LOST the right to pick up players.
Your $100 is forfeit.
thanks for playing.

What you are doing is getting an unfair advantage for NEXT years hundred, because you can roster players for the future without regard for how it affects your present.

As long as you aren't doing random streams and you are grabbing a guy you might keep, its not as bad. The problem is, who is to say who is keeper worthy and who isn't? Stephen Jackson is like the 8th guy coming off the bench for the Spurs and won't be drafted in the 1st 3 rounds next year. I just dont like the idea of eliminated teams being able to make 7 streams per week. An injured player or something like that, absolutely. I dropped Lin with the expectation that someone would pick him up.

I think decet middle ground would be allowing non playoff teams to make 2 moves per week...

The ONLY reason you should be making moves is the instance where an injured keeper is dropped.

But picking up Stephen Jackson and Caron Butler is just interfering with the guys still competing.
