The only reason I did the trade was because boozer, kaman, b-diddy, and melo should all be back at full strength for me by the time the trade goes through.

I figure that I drafted Nene in the third, and it was worth it to get the pick back and take a chance that Favors comes around.

yeah favors and a 3rd

for once i'm going for it this year, and nene gives me some great FG% (which i need) and decent big man stats (he out-rebounds that pussy brook lopez, so i'm making up for losing him). he won't kill my FT%

redd gets to sit on favors. if he pans out, then he has an amare on his hands. if he doesn't, he has a 3rd

I was gonna grill you until I saw the pick.

Still gay but the pick validates it a bit.

What's the sudden infatuation with these rookies who aren't doing shite? People act like they will be kept and are treating them like they have value.

How many of last years rookies were kept? Curry and Jennings? And they actually produced at an NBA level for a season.

ETA- Collison was kept too, although that was a mistake I think

I'm not super confident that favors comes around in time to deserve being kept, or if he ever comes around.

I think it's a good risk/reward decision though. Worst thing that happens is that I get a third rounder next year. Best case scenario is that I get a keeper AND a third rounder.

You didn't have to sell it. I was already thinking that when you made the initial offer.

Evans was kept last year, too. The 4 that were kept at least averaged 12 ppg. There aren't even any sophomores who have developed into keepers for this year. Wesley Matthews? Holliday? DeRozan?

It's not like the rookies this year are guaranteed to be good next year.

I can only see Wall as the only lock for rookie keeper this year. Maybe Cousins and Turner. Giving value for them is laughable.

Just my cellar dwelling opinon

I think you missed the part where I got a third round pick. You know, the same round that I drafted Nene in to begin with.

you had a lot of good options for keepers. Griffin didnt play, you didnt really know what u had there. Not to mention he was coming off injury.

you dangled him, got no interest. That shows other people had similar concerns.
