Regardless of the player, should the team drafting right after be the beneficiary? Though cwill somehow missed CJ, Matt benefitted. Having an every changing player pool that X amount of teams may not get a chance to draft a certain guy is just dumb

That's why I questioned this to start off. Look, props to Matt for catching CJ. I'm the one who traded him that spot in order him to grab CJ. My fault for not catching it. That dropped player (whomever it was) should have had to clear waivers, IMO.

If you want everyone to have equal chances at drafting a certain guy, we can redo the lottery with all 14 teams having the same odds.

how do you enforce or determine is someone isnt setting their lineup
no GP minimum, low max start limit. Protecting % categories.

I don't believe someone picking later in the draft should ever have access to someone who wasn't available at an earlier pick. Waiver order isn't reset each year in reverse standings, so it's not doubling down on helping the lesser teams by running them through waivers post-draft.
