you can manufacture wins, by looking ahead of schedule to the week you play someone and trade them a bye week player, for a guy on their roster who has a good match-up that same week.....you knock them down, and give them a guy who can't hurt you.

.....of course now you are hurting the newly acquired players bye.....but you can see which team is basically out of it week 1, then see when you play them, then dog it against them with your bench. and have a full team when you actually play competition.

true; but the draft is crutial, I'd say its a good 70% of the whole shabang. I can't imagine that a coffee shop guy could give you a philisophical outlook on the rest of the year that would be all that. And by the way, you sure do seem to be leaning on 'guys' intuition a lot. Where is tha ole independant feminist spirit?

Yeah I mean I'm definitely into it and all, but that's a bit extreme for me. It's only $50 - I want to win, but I don't have that much time for this shite.

I'd go 50%. Granted it was a keeper league I was in, so the draft was slightly less impactful, but waiver wire play during the season is extremely important. Staying up on how teams may start throwing to more rookies or upstart players. Who stays up on injuries and submits the first claim to a player.

Are we interested in making this a keeper league?

well say I wanted Marshall, but He's playing the Jets when we match-up.....I'll decide that it's better to leave him in that position and go after another WR1 from another team who is facing a bottom 10 secondary the week we match-up.

Problem is for me when a team takes a dive and there stats gets reevaluated from when I made the decision 8 weeks earlier

14 people are going to return?

wouldn't be all that fair to people to make a keeper "after the fact" League IMO FWIW

Honestly, the last season I played in that league we threw the keepers away. We had done that for about 3 years, and the same teams kept getting their asses kicked. So we went all socialistic and redistributed the talent that last year.

I prefer the ability to draft everyone.

Strategy makes sense, I'm just going to have to shadow what others do though I'm not going to make this a 9-5 job

The keeper thing is just an idea - I would assume those who don't think it's fair would say no, so I don't think it's unfair if everyone agreed. But yeah, getting 14 people back would be tough, and I'm not sure we could drop teams, may just have to try to find people to take over someone else's team and keepers. That's what I did in my other league, and even though I didn't love my keepers, it's still fun so I did it.

I'm planning on it. This is my rookie season - I will be much more better next year. And I think we should try to do a live draft, if at all possible.

I'd rather not do a keeper league.
