That's not really rolling the dice. Foster's ADP is way higher than all those guys. Martin is the closest to him, and I think Foster >>> Martin.
What WRs did you pass on to take him is the real question.

Julio Jones I remember for sure. However in a 20 person league if I take Julio there then there a really good chance my RB2 becomes a guy who doesn't even start.
ETA: So basically I ended up with Foster/Roddy White rather than Julio/random RB2 guy

who's your starter? did you draft his backup?
All RB's in the NFL are injury prone.

I usually say if it's close, go with the RB. Foster and Julio are close, so I like the pick. But if you would've taken those other RBs you mentioned over Julio, then it'd probably been a long season for you.

could you have gone julio/ellington?

Nope. I think the best options with my next pick would have been Lamar Miller or Sproles. Maybe Steven Jackson was available.

No. Making one team weaker does not make your lame-arse team stronger. Your team is weaker because you have occupied one roster spot with a player who may never see the field--or, at least, who may never see the field in a meaningful way. Thus, you have shortened your roster to one fewer spots that the rest of the league.
This philosophy is akin to making yourself feel better by putting someone else down. Does not make you a better person.
Better strategy is to draft the back up for your own star player.

I like Foster this season.
I think they were just so bad that the season really took a toll on all their players. I expect them to be better including Foster.

Dunbar is more of a 3rd down back.
Randle is the handcuff there.

Dunbar will be Dallas's version of Joique Bell this year. He is going to be a draft steal

strategy is to win at all cost. I have won many of games because i would hit free agent wire faster and grab someones backup after their starter was hurt. i may never play the guy but when i play you then i have huge advantage. You are not very good at this fantasy stuff are you

when you pay $100-$500 for entry you should be prepared to watch the games and stay on top of the nfl. Any idiot can draft a team and set a lineup 5 days away. Take the time to manage team daily, check practice updates, injuries from games and practices. put in the time and work.. if you pay the entry and dont wana do that... then jokes on you not me, ill comtinue to take championship money

might be looking too much into Linehan but everything this offseason projects big things for Dunbar

Lance Dunbar - RB - Cowboys
ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer believes Lance Dunbar's role would only "expand a little" if DeMarco Murray missed time.
Dunbar isn't a traditional "handcuff" -- he wouldn't become a true every-down back with Murray out -- but he'd certainly lead Dallas' backfield in touches and be heavily involved as a passing-down specialist on a pass-happy team, giving Dunbar plenty of prospective handcuff value. With Murray healthy, Archer expects 24-year-old Dunbar to be utilized in the screen game and as a change-of-pace back. He could shoot from something like 6-9 touches per game to 14-18 with Murray out. Dunbar is still very much worth stashing by Murray owners, with an outside chance at standalone flex value even with Murray healthy.
quote:
The Dallas Morning News' Brandon George said Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar "continues to be impressive" in training camp.
A versatile back with dynamic ability, Dunbar has an opportunity to earn a decent role in Dallas' offense. DeMarco Murray is the unquestioned starter, but new OC Scott Linehan oversaw a Lions offense that had two backs average over 13 touches a game in 2013. Dunbar may struggle to hit that mark, but 6-10 touches are within reach even with Murray healthy. He is worth a late-round flier.
quote:
Coach Jason Garrett confirmed Lance Dunbar was deactivated for Thursday's preseason opener because the Cowboys have big regular season plans for him.
"Certainly we have a good feel for what he can do," Garrett said. "We just want to be selective with certain guys in preseason. DeMarco Murray did not play in the game. We felt the same way about Dunbar." New playcaller Scott Linehan has shown an ability to produce backfields with more than one fantasy contributor. Dunbar may be ticketed for an especially large change-of-pace role

You should spend some of that FF money and get a new keyboard.
